Joe is President of Widewaters’ Construction and has been with the company since its inception. He began his in-depth corporate involvement as a Construction Project Manager, and he has participated in and directed retail development, lease and contract negotiation, right-to-build, acquisition analysis, site acquisition, feasibility studies and strategic long-range corporate planning. He has served as chair of various internal management committees. He has developed and maintains executive-level relationships with several national anchor tenants. Joe graduated from Syracuse University’s School of Management in 1984. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Steve attended Syracuse University and upon graduation worked in real estate development and construction in the Boston and Providence markets. In 1990 Steve became part of the Widewaters team, and since 1993 he has been Vice President of Design & Construction. Throughout his time at Widewaters, he has been responsible for all aspects of development, design and construction. He has worked closely with the legal, finance, leasing and property management divisions to ultimately construct over 18 million square feet of retail, office, hotel and institutional facilities. The projects span across the United States and Canada.
His responsibilities include feasibility analysis, conceptual design and budgeting, economical engineering/life cycle analysis, design coordination and facilitation, program management, construction management, existing property condition analysis, historic facility repositioning and asset preservation. He is licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia and is registered to work in 13 additional states. He is also currently registered in three Canadian provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Alberta.
Steve has been a user of Primavera Contract Manager for over 25 years and implemented REVIT design into his department in 2004. He is a member of the AGC and the CMAA.
Joe is responsible for the direction and management of the Widewaters legal department as well as all legal matters affecting the company. In addition to being a senior executive with substantial experience in building and corporate governance, Joe is well-versed in public and venture financings, mergers and acquisitions. He is active in the legal community and has been with Widewaters since 2000. He holds a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and a B.S. and MBA from the University of Rochester.
